Dear St. Paul Community,
There is much to be thankful for in the St. Paul school community. Our PTC, along with many generous donors, has completed the installation of the new playground equipment at the elementary school. We are grateful for their dedication and generosity and are excited to share these new structures with the community. We are also grateful to the many volunteers who are engaged in constructing the middle school softball field fencing. Our district grounds and equipment have never looked so good!
Our senior project presentations are going well, state testing is underway, and we are looking forward to the remainder of the spring athletic season. The new greenhouse project last year paved the way for an expansion of our agricultural programs and horticulture program. We are making progress on the planning for the new CTE/Agricultural building and kitchen renovation. At this time we are working with the project manager team to select the company that will design and build the structure.
I have been in regular contact with our incoming Superintendent, Troy Fisher, who will take over the leadership role in the district on July 1, 2024. We are working and planning together to make this as seamless a transition as possible. I have included a communication from Dr. Fisher in this update; please join me in welcoming him to the St. Paul community! For my part, I am extremely grateful for the years I have been able to work alongside the talented staff and supportive community here in St. Paul; it is truly a special place for children to thrive. I look forward to the next few months with many projects and successes yet to be realized this school year. Have a wonderful spring!
Sincerely,
Joseph M. Wehrli

St. Paul Parents and Community:
Now that I am officially your superintendent starting in the 2024-2025 school year, I wanted to reach out to you all to let you know how excited I am to be joining the St. Paul team! Throughout the hiring process, I had the chance to meet with students, staff, and members of the school board and community. Every interaction I have experienced showed me what an amazing place I am joining.
While my official start date in the district isn't until July 1st, I am already beginning to spend time getting to know people. I have had the opportunity to attend athletic events this past month and am going to continue to come to as many things this Spring as I possibly can. My goal is to meet and talk to as many people as possible, even before July, while at the same time cheering on the Bucks in all things.
A school is only as strong as the community it is in. In meeting students and hearing them talk about their school, conversing with community members, and listening to parents tell me stories of the history of the school and town, I can tell that this is a strong community indeed. Along with the passing of the bond and the installation of the new elementary playground, it is very clear that the amount of support and pride that you all have in the school district is truly amazing. I can't wait to become a part of it!
Starting in July I will be communicating with you about opportunities for anyone that would like to set up a time to get on my calendar and meet with me. The goal of these meetings will be for me to get to hear all of the great things about St. Paul and to hear about any support you may need from me or the district.
I already have a St. Paul email, troy.fisher@stpaul.k12.or.us. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time, even before July, if you would like. If you see me in the district please come and visit with me as I am eager to get to know each of you.
Go Bucks!
Dr. Troy Fisher
