Dear St. Paul Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish each of our families a safe and enjoyable spring break in 2022. The past two years have been a testament to our communities dedication to keeping our children in school and safe in what has been a very uncertain time. Moving forward the district is planning to continue gradually returning to normal operations while at the same time doing all we can to keep our schools free from additional covid related impacts. We need your help! If your children show signs of illness in the coming weeks please elect to keep them at home until they are symptom free. Our district will continue to offer free covid testing so that we can continue to identify what I hope are isolated cases within our population. If we are successful we can minimize the spread as well as minimizing the disruption to our school operations and activities.

Following spring break our middle high school will have a change in leadership. Tony Smith and Tiffany Fotre will take over building leadership responsibilities and will assume all supervision and duties related to middle school/high school operations. Mr. Smith will also remain in his role as Athletic Director for the district. Mr. Schrader will continue as an administrator on special projects and will work remotely providing support to our district as we increase opportunities for student and community involvement in our district activities. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Fotre and Mr. Smith as they take on their respective roles and in thanking Mr. Schrader for his contributions to the district which will continue until June 30th at which time he will leave to pursue other opportunities.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Joseph M. Wehrli
